Well after posting this over at the hawks board by mistake, i thought i would do it properly here

It should be out soon, hopefully within the next few hours, the MAC beta demo is already out, so keep an eye out over at SI Games

Reading the forum, it should be out 3pm (their time), so about 23:30 here (Adelaide time), but don't hold me to that!

Ive only played 2 friendlies as Leeds;

1st game:

0-2 (lost)

2nd game:

1-1

It's not too bad, quite similar to the CM series in the layout.

Didn't really get to explore it too much (data, etc.) as I only played 2 weeks worth and just went into the matches.

Nearly finished downloading it from the Dugout.

But I'm a bit confused here. If Football Manager is made by Sigames, what's the deal with CM5? Will it be completely different from other versions?

A player's agent just approached me with video (2D highlights) of his player and said the player would be delighted if I made an offer.

Very cool.

I think this is how it works.

CM - CM 03/04 done (programmed) by SI Games, distrubted by Eidos (maybe not all versions)
FM programmed by SI Games, and either will be distrubted by themselves or Sega at a guess.

CM5 is Eidos, not sure which group is doing it, it's probably Eidos. They only got to keep the name, the database and source code is SI's.

CM series SI did you should be able to check here:

Eidos only has CM5:

Why Eidos aren't distrubting SI Games anymore i don't know (guessing Sega offered a better deal!?), but it doesn't really matter, as we get some compitition finally which will hopefully drive both of them to create better games

yeh CM 5 is published and programmed by eidos

FM 05 is just by the same guys from SI games but diferent name

seems like a kool game but its hard 2 get into it since my team, leeds sucks now and has no good players

edit: Eidos got the name, but SI kept the source code, so CM5 will be a brand new game from the ground up, looks like

Not at all impressed by this demo, and after the last two CM games were so poor, I guess this will be the first CM game I haven't bought since 99/00. The highlights feature is utterly pointless - I've played thousands of games from the lower leagues of Scotland to the top of the Serie A, and it's near impossible to judge player quality based on the 2D graphics.

That's right, though it'll keep the CM interface for the most part.
