Footy Fanatic - In a world of hurt!

Hey lads, I downloaded the famous Footy Fanatic from the official site - since then I've had mixed results after running into error messages and having to partake in a bit of tinkering... I've decided to ask here just in case any of you met these problems and can point me in the right direction, before emailing the bloke as a last resort:

1. I tried to install using the setup file and it moved onto an auto-installation screen where the program said it was installing 7 *.DLL files. When it got to the end it gave an error message along the lines of "some of your system files are too old. would you like setup to fix this problem. this will require a restart. Yes or No." (Note: I have Windows ME and regularly run Windows Update).

I decided to do this - you only live once - and after my computer restarted with no problems I tried to re-run the setup program and got the same error message - so I decided to install manually not knowing whether I needed these *.DLL files or not.

2. After installing manually to C:/Program Files/Footy Fanatic (I have run the Footy Pack auto-extractor) I then successfully imported the 2003 lists and also the 2003 draw and began a season with Richmond. After going through the preseason and getting into the full season I noticed after a few rounds that the ongoing stat tracking isn't working at all - Reports, Kicks, Handballs, Hitouts, Injuries, Brownlow Odds, Media Votes tally etc.

So I am at a loss as to why this is happening... is it because I haven't changed the fixture folder name to 2003 and there's a confusion in regard to that, or is it because I need some of those *.DLL files or other files that wouldn't have been installed because the setup file is bollocks?

Can anyone help?
