Not the most detailed explanation but if it is giving you an ADODC error then (taken from the downloads page on the footyfanatic.net website)...
NOTE: If you get the message'(ADODC) unknown error' when running the program you will need to download an extra file.Download this file from here (7.7mb)
Otherwise tell me what is actually happening when you try and open it - why will it not let you?

I think it's very good for something that is accessible for free, sure it has a few bugs like Ricky Mott averaging nearly 45 hit outs per game in my season, but overall it's still fun to pass the time occassionly.
How can you be dissatisfied with a free product? If you don't like it, don't download it.

The same way I am dissatisfied when BiGFooty experiences all the 'server busy' messages... don't pay for it, but it still ****es me off when it doesn't work. If the footy fanatic developers can't program a game right, perhaps they should take up a different hobby.

Footy Fanatic for a free product works great, I hardly ever have any problems with it. Maybe if you learnt to download it right instead of slagging off everything you might have more luck. But then you need a brain to do that something you are lacking.

Problems I have with Footy Fanatic:
- Doubling up of players in the reserves list. Not a huge deal though, can work out which player is meant to be which by looking at my available players list.
- I'd prefer drafting to be unlimited until my list is filled.
Other than that, nothing. Great game, and I've spent countless hours having a great tiem playing it.

There are some computers where it will not work no matter what you do. It's got nothing to do with 'downloading it right'.
Not going to whinge though, it doesn't cost anything.
