i would have to agree, Pav > Brown for mine. i would be willing for us to sell our soul to get Pav in the off season
 
Yep, I have to agree with the above, Pavlich > Brown.

He's been All-Australian 5 times at FB, HFF (essentially midfield), CHF and FF playing for Fremantle.

Very versatile and I'd love to have him at Collingwood.

dont be unkind to Freo they are good at trading.

They traded this "average" player called Andrew McLeod for a "superstar" in Chris Groom from Adelaide! :p:p

What has McLeod ever done, Freo should be fully justified in their trading ability. McLeod had an "ok" game in the last Saturday in September in 97 and 98.

I think the Pies could convince Freo of anything.

"Mutton dressed as Lamb" Thats how clubs trade with Freo!

I suggest we play Egan in round 22 and feed him the ball and let him kick 10 and trade him to freo with a 1st round and some other shit for Pav
 
I would have Pav in a heartbeat, but I would never "sell our souls" to get him.
He would certainly be a better choice than J.Brown (although it would be lovely to get both:D).
I have always thought he is the closest thing to Bucks in the comp and would look very nice in the Black and White.

But.....is there any real chance we could get him???
 
Isn't it funny how things go around.
If collingwoods recruiting staff were smarter way back in 2001,we had the option to grab Pavlich in a three way deal with Richmond and Freo.
We gave away a couple of picks and got mackee and some dead beat name Danny Roach who never played a single game and Feo got the Pav.
At least that's one trade that Freo,got right and came up trumps.
What pavlich would have helped us do in the 2002 and 2003 grand finals if he had become a pie then.He would have had at least 2 premiership medallions around his neck,the pies would have won another 2 premierships and us supporters would be looking at a third flag in less than 10 years had we have gotten the Pav way back then.
Pav will stay at freo till his contract expires,can't see him being traded.

It's pretty obvious Freeeeeeeo will be doing a big ol' sweep at the end of the year and with any luck I think the going rate for ex Bomber hacks is about 3 per 100g packet of twisties. Not bad considering.

Pav no doubt would bring in a very tempting amount of picks but seeing Freeeeeeo have been topping up for years do you really think they would have the guts to start afresh and get rid of their only champion? Nup! There's one thing in getting rid of the dead wood but getting rid of the only thing that is sea worthy I just can't see it happening.

With Harvey in charge expect the unexpected.

I would have thought though the Pies have a better chance of snagging J Brown then Pav.

That would be a major coup/marquee player for your club and potential captain to boot !

Major win.

Trouble is the Lions would expect a kings ransom for him!

I guess with Freo though you could almost get the next best thing and convince them that draft pick 50 is a lot of value.

I never knew Medhurst could play that well !
