Players missing easy set shots in front of goal is out of a coaches control. Hawthorn had 37 scoring shots to our 35. We missed at least 7-8 set shots last night that should have been kicked.
We did run out of legs due to the lack of depth in our team last night and the the fact that we wasted a lot of energy to come back and hit the front. But in the end we kicked our selves out of the game especially in the first quarter where we dominated and should have been 3-4 goals in front.
Hawthorn were kicking goals from the boundary line to rub it in even more. Overall a lot to work with for us with all our players still to come back. Hawthorn had a lot of outs as well but there defence still has massive question marks over it. I'm happy for them to carry the favorites tag this season.
