EDIT: The site is optimized for Mozilla, which wasn't a problem for me seeing as I never use Microsoft's crappy IE any more. Stage 6 is also different to Youtube in that it won't start playing the video automatically, you have to click on the play button first. This is to allow people to open several videos in New Tabs or New Windows at the same time without worrying about them all playing at the same time like they would in Youtube.

Works best with the DivX WEBplayer, literally a 30 second download from here. Using it, I have no trouble watching videos (such as full length feature films) that are expressed in terms of GIGAbytes rather than megabytes. They start immediately (after inital 2-3 second buffer) and then run seamlessly without any more buffer pauses.

Stage6 is awesome for watching HD video . Way better than any other sites. And all the videos load really fast. Great site.

I had a look at the site from someone else's place & it didn't load as fast. Makes me glad to I've got my iinet ADSL2 account.

In anticipation of the day when Stage6 becomes THE place to be, here are a couple of MY videos;

Video of me riding a recumbent bicycle

Short section of first motorcycle video. Nearly collided with a car that pulled out in front of me. Video a little shaky because the camera was mounted on the handlebars.

Yeah, I've got Telstra Cable (17mbit) so thats one of the reasons it loads pretty fast for me.

However, I was comparing it to some of the smaller video host sites (not you-tube who I think have an Australian server now).

Sites like: Veoh, GoFish, 56.com, Metacafe, Tudou, ouov (or something) etc

Some of those are slow as hell (or bad quality)
