So, is the onus not then back on Lewis to perform better & push? Nico seems to avoid the contact.

Not sure I understand the dislike for Nico on this forum. I think he's a fantastic driver and deserves all the success he gets. The luck he has received is exactly that, luck. It's not a conspiracy.

By the way, if you want to discuss luck, Lewis won a World Championship through luck in Brazil 2008.
I'm pretty sure it's a personality thing. Lewis is quick and he's got charisma and a high level of self confidence/arrogance that either brings the fans or the haters, there aren't many fans who sit in the middle. He's definitely in the Vettel/Alonso mold whereas Rosberg is more reserved and quiet, a bit like Raikkonen and that tends to polarise fans as well.

I think I've already mentioned that Hamilton made his own problems and if you read my posts I haven't accused Rosberg of being a bad driver or undeserving race winner. My comments were about the idea that Rosberg has beaten Hamilton on pace this season - he hasn't. Not sure what 2008 has to do with that discussion.

If only Massa's engine didn't blow up in Hungary but both drivers had their bad luck that season. Lewis had Spa, Massa had Singapore and Hungay.

Luck does often play a role in Formula 1. In modern Formula 1, where cars are much more reliable than in the past, you could argue that luck plays less of a role. Whether or not Hamilton's rash of corner one incidents are down to luck or something else is open to debate, but sometimes being in the wrong place at the wrong time is beyond the control of any driver.

BTW - In my opinion Rosberg's father Keke would have to be the luckiest World Champion. Have a read of the 1982 Championship year (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1982_Formula_One_season) to see what I'm talking about.

Lewis also had the FIA riding his arse all year while giving Massa as much assistance as they possibly could. Mosley was obsessed with preventing McLaren from winning the title that year. I remember the stats for how many times cars were 'randomly' scrutinized by the FIA and Lewis' car was far and away the most checked, even his teammate had like a third or quarter of Lewis' car checks. Not a Lewis fan BTW, I think he's overrated but that year was just terrible with FIA garbage.

Funny you say that, I always thought Glock's last corner stuff up looked suspiciously planned. Maybe the FIA were onto something.

Eh he wouldn't have been up there if he did pit to begin with.
