Folks

Can Simmonds play forward? and is he a better option than JLo.

I think he will be OK on the lead, not sure about his recovery when the ball spills ...Farmer, Medders and TLo hovering I suppose.

The question could easily be reversed to who would you guys ruck (after the Sandman) ...JLo or Simmonds?

Much prefer JLo in the forward line compared to Simmonds, he just needs to toughen up and stop being so soft. His contested marking is usually his strong point so best left in the goalsquare one out.

Simmonds we can use as a backup ruck and around the ground if Sandilands is rucking. I actually quite like him playing a kick behind the play, I think he goes back well and can take a grab. We can also rotate him through the forward line to give us that extra option. He is good on the lead usually but I don't think keeping him as a permanent forward would work.

Snake is a darn good ruckman who can swoop down ground and kick long goals. He could be called a good flanking player.

JLo has been a bit hot and cold, we all know what he can do, consistency is what we want. I'd prefer he was left as a permanent forward and only used as a rucking option in emergencies (3rd option).

Snake and 211 are the ruck options, and depending on the opposition it might be handy to rotate both of them around the ground (ruck - forward), rather than rotate off the bench.

I assure you Moo when your a 3rd dan ( black belt X 3 )in Kung Fu your agility is normally 2nd to none ;)

Im guessing that JLo and Simmonds will rotate between the ruck and full forward in at least the first few games, with 211 rotating between the ruck and the bench, depending whether or not he learns to hold his marks consistently.
