I reckon Bryan could also be a Good FF and I was surprised he did not play When Rocca was Hurt and before Dawes came in

i agree with you Dave. Personally i find byan's ruckwork serviceable at the best of times and he's no tap ruckmen, thats for sure. But he's got the big body and good hands and a bit of mongrel about him, which by the way is something dawes doesnt have yet.
but i definately want to see all 3 ruckmen playing together trialed in the NAB games to see how they would work

I can see the OP's point in regards to the lack of experince. I am not all that concerned with it at the moment as key position players tend to take longer to reach AFL level due to the need for the body to develop. Once they get that right they tend to get from broken into the side to AFL quality foward quicker.

It is always a worry that we don't have a proven player to step in and take over a key post, which is why we are hoping for one of the young fowards to have a really good year as a third target along side Rocca and Cloke this year. That said we do have a wealth of young talent in the foward line and one proven preformer in Cloke and a bunch of good small fowards. We played most of the year with just Cloke and the smalls this year and whilst at some points we struggled up foward it wasn't a major issue and you can only assume that it will improve even if out of Dawes, Reid Rus and Anthony we only get an average 2nd and 3rd tall foward.

I can't agree at any level that our forward line is a worry - it's an embarassment of riches if anything.

I suspect we will only play a 3 tall foward line at most, possibly two talls, two medium talls and two small fowards / crumbers.

Talls:

(Primary) Rocca, Cloke, Dawes, Rusling

(Back-ups / swing-men) Anthony, Reid, Fraser/Wood/Bryan, Maxwell

I expect Cloke to be fine health wise, in which case we need only to find 1-2 tall partners up forward from Rocca, Dawes, Rusling, Anthony, Reid, then getting into the ruck / Maxwell stocks. There'd have to be a lot of injury for us to come unstuck here.

If both Cloke and Rocca are in good health, then look-out. If Rocca misses a few games, that will be good for the development of Rsuling and Dawes.

Mediums:

McCaffer, Didak, Thomas, Corrie

(Back-ups / swing-men) Cox.

Smalls:

Davis, Medurst, Dick,

(Back-ups / swing-men) Lockyer.

The medium and small forwards are a bit interchangeable, but there are 7 genuine smaller forward options here, with two pinch hitters (not including Bennell as a forward option here yet). To fill 3-4 positions up forward, that's a fair depth I'd say.

Agree, Cloke is the Only Proved Tall Forward at the Moment but you Never Know if Dawes and Anthony play 2nd and 3rd Tall they can Prove themselves to be alongside Cloke and Can really Work
