Do you remember these threads from a couple of Collingwood people?
Early in the season Mr Costa opened his big mouth and stated that the Pies had got it all wrong and the Malthouse and Buckley combination was bad for the club and would not work. Guess what this no good combination has got the pies in a grand final in its first year! During the year,when Collingwood were in a bit of strife and in particular the coach Mick Malthouse who was embroiled in the Milne fiasco, a fellow president namely Frank Costa took it upon himself to make some rather derogatory comments on another club and tried to compare the two clubs.at that stage his team were premiers and the top team who were looking unbeatable. Now in the full light of day please let me know what you think of this old wind bags claims and how they now stand up.

Also if someone could find the herald suns Alan Howe,s scathing attack on Malthouse and his reasons why they can never win a flag with malthouse in charge,that would be great to revisit now,,you see Mr Howe and Mr Costa the wheel turns and those that are on top don't always stay there ,do they?

Frank probably shouldn't have commented - but it was at a "private" function.
Still it seems he was right all along, and a quick pop onto the Pies board shows threads where they are furiously debating the rights and wrongs of the MM/Eddie/Bucks deal, and how it has all gone down.
I just wanted to acknowledge between Geelong people (not the whole world) that Frank was correct, seeing he got a bucketing for his opinion.
