As impressed with buddys bags of 6 goals and 9 goals in the last 2 weeks i have also been VERY VERY VERY impressed with his leading compared with last week. Granted kicking more goals and taking more overhead/contested marks is positive but his leading on the weekend was absolutley first class. Instead of like in 2006 when he would make 1 lead or a 2nd lead that was obvious in 2007 he is making multiple leads and doubling back and zigging and zagging and leading to space.
His leading and work rate this season and style of play couldnt remind me more of nick riewoldt if he tried. Couldnt be more excited about buddy and especially considering ive had the 38/23 on my back since his second league game against richmond in 05. I've watched him closely like many other hawk fans have im sure but his leading and work ethic has been something this year I believe hasn't been as publiced as his marking for example but is almost just as important. Also I believe one of the most DANGEROUS aspects of buddy's ability to lead is that he can lead anywhere, to any pocket, at any distance, at an angle and can be confident in his ability to kick a goal.
