What pick you think he will go in the national draft?

I very much doubt that Melbourne will use one of picks 4,14,21 on him and i think he will be gone by our next pick which i think is in the 50's.

Although pick 21 might not be a bad move, depends what sort of game plan bail's wants.

If we used pick 21 on him basically our TJ trade would look like this.

TJ + pick 21 for Gehrig + pick 14

don't sound so bad when u say it like that.

I'm not serious, i dont want Gehrig :)

we won't ever consider him... we have neita, who has about the same life span left that the g train does... would be a very negative move

Got to question someone who retires and then wants to come back, drafting him is not the move for a club trying to seriously rebuild. I think he would be almost certain to be taken with St Kilda's last pick whatever that happens to be.

He really is screwing ST Kilda over, retiring then forcing them to use a draft pick to get him back.

And Fraser being Fraser he will probably lose interest 7 rounds in and retire again.

Take your pick.

Adelaide: John Hinge, Darren Pfeiffer
Brisbane Lions: Marcus Allan, Patrick Garner
Carlton: Craig Flint
Collingwood: Guy Richards
Essendon: Kepler Bradley, Richard Cole, Mark Johnson
Fremantle: Clayton Collard, Ryley Dunn, Calib Mourish, James Walker
Geelong: Stephen Owen, Matthew Spencer
Hawthorn: Matt Little, Josh Thurgood
Kangaroos: Blake Grima, Daniel McConnell, David Trotter, Callam Urch
Melbourne: Ryan Ferguson, Simon Godfrey, Heath Neville
Port Adelaide: Ryan Willits
Richmond: Brent Hartigan, Andrew Krakouer, Carl Peterson
St Kilda: Fraser Gehrig, Andrew McQualter, Phil Raymond, Justin Sweeney
Sydney: Simon Phillips, Jonathan Simpkin, Luke Vogels
West Coast: Daniel Chick, Ashley Sampi
Western Bulldogs: Travis Baird, Damian McCormack, Tim Walsh

Whats the PSD for if all these guys are in the national draft.

I wouldn't wanna be the coach of that side.

Lot of troublemakers and slackers.

Dunn, Collard, Pfeiffer and Sampi, because their attitudes may be able to be changed, compared to others like Godfrey who will never be up to AFL level. Gehrig and Kepler Bradley are probably the others who might get drafted. Most of the rest have had there chance and for one reason or another haven't made the grade. Or like Michael Johnson and Chick are too old.

If they somehow did that (possibly due to being dropped on their heads as children) there would be the biggest riot of all time.

Melbourne wudnt bother getting him, i doubt any club apart from St .kilda will draft him. U dnt wanna draft a player who doesnt want to play for your club.

He will be lucky if even St kilda re draft him!! The saints have said today that they might not, that would be way too funny!

We wont pick Fraser dont need another gorilla Full Forward... club only needs one.

He wont go before pick 60.
If he does get picked up i think it will be by the Saints pick 70 i think it is.

You realise that if someone else takes him and he don't show, St Kilda will most likely be done for draft tampering.

How is St Kilda at fault? If Gehrig is taken by someone else then he can just say he lost the motivation to play and retire. St Kilda wouldn't be involved at all.

Didn't St Kilda lodge his draft application, gunna be hard to claim nothing to do with his decision.

They couldn't prove that St Kilda did have anything to do with the decision, they would have to take Fraser's word for it. Any punishment handed to the Saints in that case would be unjust.

Gehrig asked St Kilda to nominate him in the draft. Would simply be considered as doing a favour for a former player.

Unless Ross Lyon comes out and says publicly that no other club should pick Fraser because he will only play for St Kilda (which Lyon would obviously never say), the AFL has no terms for any punishment to St Kilda.

I cant see the G-Train playing for anyone but the Saints next season.
He has one season left in him, what other club would take him on that basis? Staying with the Saints allows him to continue with the familiarity of the club and its players.
