Will Geelong be able to sign players (like Raidme or Mclean) straight out of our VFL side to our main playing list? Forgive my ignorance if this has been answered before

nope, you're only eligible for free-agency after X years on a club list.

i think X = 7, but not exactly sure on that one

Damn... Looks while we will continue to use the rookie system then

I feel its really there for the players that have already been thru the draft process , been told where to go and had to comply etc..
