Free SMS Messages

Does anyone know what the best service is around for free sms messages via the internet is.

I just signed up for smspup, and it seems allright, even though there is not a large amount of space for a message, and you have to earn points to be able to send one in the first place (you start of with 5 free points).

What other services are there?? what one would you recommend??

You can try www.ringtones.com.au. They have free ones altho space is limited, but u can just log in again and send the next part of your message!!

Takes roughly 45 mins last time I used it.
A friend said it can take up to 3 hours.

I use www.freesms.com.au

To make room for the ad at the end, messages are limited to 100 characters,and you can send 20 messages a day.

When I first started using the service a few months ago, most messages were sent instantly, or within 15 minutes on a busy day.

These days, most messages take 3-4 hours, there always seems to be a backlog. Over the Christmas period, messages took around 20 hours to send!

I'd recommend it for sending things that aren't urgent.

I did a little trial of http://www.freesms.com.au last night and it took 6 hours to send to my mobile phone. I think doing it normally through your phone is the way to go (unless your in no hurry for the message to be sent to your friend/whoever)
