Personally I think Gilham's size will help him. I saw Dawson get murdered agains the big forwards last season, so I am sure half way through 07 if Dawson is still getting killed why is there any harm in try Gilly?

We've seen Dawson get beaten, we havent seen Gilly get the chance. I just want to see how he goes, his frame seems more well built (in the pre season photos) in comparison to Dawson.

We just need to see them in action against forwards to see how they use their weight, strength and positioning to get a real indication on who should be our fullback for the future.

but gilham isn't actually solidly built. he was a rake during his time at port adelaide, and is only now moving out of that zone. at 4cm shorter than zac, he's probably not a harder item than dawson to shift at all. if it's "get in the way" tactics that are needed at full back, meaty meaty jarryd roughead is our best bet aside from campbell. lower centre of gravity, big bones, 6 feet 4, probably 98kg, and his strength would be getting pretty decent after 3 AFL pre-seasons, considering his bulk.
