Furies With 3rd Big Announcement

Fresh from announcing two new recruits, Claypigeon and thetradesman, the Furies are set to yet again hit the media headlines.

This off-season has been fruitful for the Furies who many believe have recently struggled in the recruiting stakes. The 'Richmond-only' clause in the Punt Rd constitution has come under fire from both insiders and outsiders, with the Furies' leadership group deciding to finally relent on the time-honoured tradition.

With captains' words being their bonds, Mexican Filthy Sanchez is ruoured to be relinquishing the Furies' captaincy, handing it on to tigland, after what was an ultimately unsuccessful Season 16.

Is the Furies' situation something that would make you consider scrapping the controversial "Richmond" link?
I know for a fact I won't be the Fury captain that introduces it if it ever does happen.

Underrated tigland is expected to take over as Captain before the Furies' first pre-season game. He brings experience, hostility, but most of all crass - something of which the Furies pride themselves on. He spoke about the decision to bring an apparent 'outsider' into the inner sanctum.

He is our new signing. The club is trialling a non-Richmond supporter for a year as recruiting has dried up the past few seasons. The leadership group discussed it and a decision was made that we would try it with 1 person only and that was Clay. We are still staying strong to our roots and Richmond Supporters are still our priority. This is not open season for supporters of other clubs.

Filthy Sanchez is being lauded by many for sticking to his guns. He declined to comment on camera tonight, but he is believed to be satisfied with his decision believing it's for the betterment of the club. It is expected he'll continue to play an integral part of the leadership group, without the title of Captain.

Who knows, maybe a change in captain with enable the Furies to eek out those extra few points that eluded them late last season?

I haven't seen much of my pal Filthy Sanchez of late (otherwise I would have poached him too ;) ) so I just assumed tigland was already skipper whilst FS had gone to where ever it is that all past furies captains go.

Not the abyss either, I would have seen him there.

Filthy is still Furies captain and we are very happy with the Mexican in charge.

That's all well and good. But how do you think it looks to the supporters when your captain says one thing and does something completely different? How does it look when he goes against his word? Seems like a pretty untenable position to me. I'm surprised he hasn't stood down by now. How can anyone trust what he says from now on? I mean, Filthy Sanchez should embody all things captain, and he's failed to do that.

You recycled your post from 3 months back, and exchanged Easty for the Filthy.............

So one poster only this season means the Richmond policy is abolished?

It has been said all along this is a trial signing with a poster that has always been a Furies advocate. The Richmond policy is still in place. The Furies are still the most successful club in SFA history and Chez will again lead us back to the grand final for a 3rd straight season.

For the greater good.

All that you posted is completely irrelevant to this thread. Your initial question speaks volumes for the defensive nature that is needed given Filthy's actions. Don't blame me for him refusing to stay true to his word.

I think Filthy was trolling when he said what he said.

How is it irrelevant? Pretty sure one poster doesn't = a policy change especially when it's a one off. Filthy had stuck to his guns and ensured this is a one off. Its not hunting season at the Furies, unless your a Tiger.

Or a Wabbit

Nothing would be better than beez getting trolled by @Claypigeonand the furies about pretending to join a club.

Please be so for just the most perfect week in the SFA.
