Is there is point in Carlton getting anyone players from other clubs in this years drafts? Seriously do we go purely with kids? Or do we go half-half? Hopefully we get plenty of picks and use them on kids but I will say that if we delist/trade 10-12 player which will probably happen then Im not convinced that just kids and only kids will be a good thing. We dont want them being smashed and bashed next year and the year after. Sure, we want to give them exposure ahead of recycled players and older players but there is a difference between having them battered and bruised every week, getting injuries, etc. and giving them calculated exposure. Its a fine line. At least 8 kids are what we need and maybe 2 or 3 players from other clubs are needed to top up? I think depth is the key, we need to get the right mix as it's critical to our kids development in 2006 and beyond. Such players may include M.Bolton, Saddington, Bode, Fosdike, Brooks, Hahn, Armstrong, Baird, etc. to add depth. Having said this we dont want more Bowyers, Clarkes, Morrells, Bannisters, etc!
