So any chance for a return? I guess you can't drop Byrnes after his 3 goals, or can you?

I'd love to see him back but can't see anyone being dropped for him, especially if Mooney returns too and after Thompson praised Varcoe's and Byrnes's game.

i really think the team is much more balanced without him, maybe bomber was giving him some games to get them under his belt as he has great potential. but i think varcoe, stokes and byrnes add speed and tackling, something we have lacked.

We should have a stickied 'Dreamteam/SuperCoach' thread for all such questions, that way those of us who are sick to death of such 'games' don't have to constantly see people asking stuff about players purely out of concern for their precious 'Dreamteam'.

Yeah, most other club boards have one.
There was a Dreamteam/Supercoach thread with questions, but I think it got moved to the Scratching Post.

i would have this aswell. Gamble plays tall and can take a good grab.
But when it all boils down to it i would have Kent kingsly in there. But only if scarlo lends him his footy boots again.

I agree mate. If you ask me, Gamble has outperformed all the other fringe forwards this season. The team had a bad game against the Pies(absolutely no fault of his own) and he gets dropped.
Lonegan has the sympathy vote. I understand that he is a very popular bloke around the club / great storyetc, I'm not happy with picking players for these reasons.
Lonegan had conditions as good as they'll ever get on Saturday night, Carlton getting pumped / lots of inside 50s / a crap opponent etc, etc. I'm a big Gamble fan personally... all for the kid. Has physical presence, strong and has a red hot go!! Good kick also. Very unlucky!!

Outs: Varcoe, Rooke, Hawkins
... and thats the bottom line.

Vegas wasn't actually dropped.He was rested due to an injury he suffered in the Pies game.Balme admitted that on friday on SEN.
I'm guessing because your boyfriend Joshie wasn't playing that you didn't bother watching the game on saturday night

coz stone cold marty said so....
I really like Vegas and think he has gret potential, however I think our forward line blance is much better without him. He's not really a crumbing forward, plays quite tall, and really similar to Stevie J. Due to this I think Stevie's form hasn't been as good this year, with Vegas taking a lot of the ball that would normally be directed at him. I was telling a mate on the way into the game last week, that Stevie would dominate without Vegas there. Coincidence?
