Game 1 - Half Time

I am absolutely sick of being told that we have to be positive when clearly something needs to change. Here are some home truths about the first half of round 1 -

1. PJ hold your head up mate. You are the one shining light of an absolutely dismal first half of football.

2. In 30 years of watching the Dees I have never laughed out loud at a Dees performance - I am sad to say that this was the first time that happened.

3. It is clear that whenever a Demon player gets the ball that they have absolutely no idea what they are supposed to do with it - in other words nothing has changed from last year and the year before etc etc - What is Bailey's game plan?? For %^&* suck someone please tell me!!

4. Miller is pathetic - anyone that says otherwise is either blind or a relative

5. Carroll is not a key position player - if he didn't have his moustache he would have been delisted along time ago

6. I have never seen a Demon team have a clearly evident lack of skills at game 1 of the season thanthe 2008 team. What is Bailey doing?

7.There is absolutely no desperation to get the ball - the will to win the ball has been absolutely laughable and as usual it appears that the majority of players have had a manicure just before the game and don't want to break a nail

8. Sadly Robbo has lost his desperation - singing is clearly more important which is sad because in years gone by he has been the shining light - for example, did any other club show any real interest in one of our players other than Robbo?

I sincerely hope that the above changes before the end of round 1.

Its not pretty mate, and to think I was lambasted for being negative coming into this season.

The signs have been there, to think they would change now that points are on the line was laughable.

Bailey has his work cut out for him. Robbo needs to be dropped, Yze probably similar. The youngsters have been the shining lights.

If PJ carries on like this, he'll have White's No. 1 possie by the end of this year. Jeff's done nothing except let Simon Taylor stroll around and get possessions (and a goal) at will.

Its only round 1 guys, an unexpected win next week and all this will be forgotten and thing all of a sudden look positive, hang in there.
P.S, at least its not Richmond doing it to you, Hawks are a top 4 side.

Thanks mate but it is a seconds Hawks side versus a "premium" Dees side.....that just makes it even scarier

Bell is definitely wasted in the backline - he should be put into the middle because that is his best position IMO - PJ is definitely a guy that we need to progress - he has played a better roving role than our rovers! We desperately need Whelan back (pardon the pun)

I think this is the most striking thing.

Absolutley no desperation. You'd think round 1 would gee them up.

The classic example was Green's attack on the footy in the first quarter - go back and watch the relay because it was an absolute disgrace - he came good when it no longer mattered but we have too many players that are capable of brillance when the game is over....
