Sixers v Pigs.
Both teams are one win from the championship - who would of thunk it?
Why the sixers will win:
Obviously the back court duo of Maher & Farley are the key for the sixers. If these two turn it on tonight the sixers should win and win well. Maher is a proven big game player and can carry a team on his back when needed. Add to him Willie Farley, certainly one of the most impressive imports the sixers have had, and you have got one very potent backcourt. Look for both players to have up around 30 points each. From watching game 1 in the stands it looked to me that Farley was far too good for either Handy or Rucker on the offencive end. Game 2 however, he was slight better contained, it won't happen again in Game 3.
Rees needs to step up and take on Simon Dwight, i think Dwight is the key for the Pigs, stop him or get him in early foul trouble will be the order of the day (night) for the sixers. Whether that means feeding the ball inside to Rees & Stiff or driving at him doesn't really matter, just make him commit fouls and the game will get out of the Pigs reach IMO.
Rillie v Nash may be an interesting contest, as we know Rillie can be hot or cold, hopefully Nash can throw a bucket of could water on him early and keep his confidence low.
The benches, well the Pigs are deeper, no doubt about it, but whether they have enough fire power in the starting five to combat the sixers scoring power is highly unlikely. Bolden will give them a lift, as will Garrison (who has been superb in the Finals) and Sapwell for the sixers.
All in all it will come down to a points shoot out better the sixers backcourt + maybe Stiff (or Garrison or Rees) and the pigs' Rillie & Dwight (& possible McGregor & Rucker)IMO, if either team can stop either of the other teams top two then it will be one heck of a huge advantage. For mine i would rather have my money on Maher & Farley, so therefore the sixers should get up.
Final Score:
36ers 112
WSR 107
