Just wanted to know if anyone else in Melbourne has gone down to ACMI to check it out? I went today 2 see gamerthon and it was pretty decent.

Seeing the DoA tournament in full competition mode with sports commentators and full production crew was quite fun if not over the top .
The CoD4 and Halo comps are coming up in the next few days so if u have time u should go down and check em out, its defintly worth it

I reckon I would smash half the COD4 people in that tournament, if there was no lag I would kill it, I can get a good kd ration even with shocking lag.

To compete in the CoD4, Halo, Fifa08, DoA tournaments cost a registration fee but registrations closed on sunday so u cant do it anyway. I think from memory Cod4 was $150 for a team of 5 and Fifa08 was $30. I was gonna enter the Fifa tournament but found out about it 2 late, and couldve quite easily taken the majority of those guys.

To go there and watch the tournaments or muck around on the upstairs free games room which has a guitar hero and gran turismo 5 prologue tournament (free entry to those tournaments) is free. If u want to go downstairs where they have a history of gaming thing which has over 200 playable games hailing back from pong all the way to wii sports, it costs $10 concession or $15 normal its usually packed in there but defintly sumthin to check out.

FIFA is used in pretty much all pro-gaming tournaments. EA paid them some cash I guess.
