Gamecube or PS2

Which one do u own and y is it better than the other??

I'll be ordering my Gamecube in the next couple of days and was wondering wat the general consensus was of bigfootians.

It would also be helpful if u wrote down some arguments y gamecube is better than PS2 and vice versa.

Also for ppl getting Gamecube what game/s are u gonna start with, what colour console will u get etc.

I'll be getting a Gamecube when its launched here.
Most likely get Rogue Squadron at the start then see how the mney is before getting anything else.

too many choices right now

i want to get ps2 because of its selection of games.
but xbox is a far superior machine
but xbox hasn't established itself in the market yet

i don't think gamecube is my taste though

I'll be getting the $500 EB bundle (extra game, ext. contoller, mem card and carry case) with Wave Race, plus Rogue Squadron which is $600.

And the best bit is im only paying $250 for the lot

As for xbox wouldnt be suprised if some sort of emulator came out on PC, and then you'd have the xbox on ur comp without actually buying it.

For me i prefer Gamecube cause ive always been a nintendo person, the games PS2 has that Gamecube doesnt i'd just get on computer anywhos (and gamecube has some games that PS2 hasnt), and the controller and graphics stood out first time i saw it, which didnt happen with PS2.

The 3 consoles are pretty much simarlar, it just comes down to which suits u the most.

At the moment, the only game i want on the Cube is

And i WILL buy a GameCube just for it.

But not yet. Maybe a month or two after launch. When i get bored of my Xbox that i haven't bought yet.



Edit: I forgot about Sonic as well. Although i have it already on DC, there's extra bits in the GC version that i need!!!

I'm throwing up between an Xbox or a GC, but definitely no PS2.

If I got a GC I'd get Rogue Leader and WrestleMania 18 when it comes out because it is a great multiplayer game.

If Rogue Leader had multiplayer options it would sign me up to the GameCube.

Plus, apparantly you can preorder a GameCube at Harvey Norman and only pay $299, unconfirmed reports so don't lynch me if I'm wrong.

PS2. It has Grand Theft Auto. The imitations don't compare.

It may, but Xbox has GTA3 coming out eventually, as well as Mafia:City of lost Heaven.

I still prefer the PS2 purely as I'm a sports game nut and there's much more to choose from on PS2 than the other machines put together!!

I got a PSx2 the day it came out from the bonus I got from work and as soon as I have enough money I will also have an XBox.

Still a little sceptical about the GC though, as Nintendo have traditionaly been aimed at the kiddies. So I'll wait and see with that one.

Can anyone confirm or deny the rumour that Atari (the pioneers of the console) are currently developing a new console.
