Yes, I saw that too, but I wonder how real it is, he seemed a bit cagey and it might be a bit of a furphy. I think we might see Gardiner named in the team, but a tall emergency also included for the trip east.

Absolutley no point bringing any player back unless they are fully fit. We did well enough without Gardiner last week, obviously against a weaker ruck division IMO, but hopefully we can get the same kind of game out of Cox and Gaspar again, with Tuckey likely to come in too now after missing last week with the flu.

Gardiner is vital to our chances on the weekend. If he doesn't play it gives Richmond the luxury of playing Ottens up forward and giving the ruck to Hall (who IMO is probably a bit better than Cox). If Gardiner plays richmond will have to swing Ottens into the ruck as they cannot afford to lose the ruck contests considering how much weaker their midfield is to ours (on current form).

Then again, i don't want Gardiner playing 15mins and coming off with another injury. Maybe give Siera a run?

Big blow for us...they now have three option in the ruck with Stafford back. Ottens, Ray Hall (who i think D4E's meant) and now Stafford. Will be hard to counter that going in with only one true ruckmen who is also very young and a couple of part timers in Gaspar and Tuckey. We could struggle.

Then again if our midfield plays too its potential then i dont think it will matter who wins the hit outs etc ...

HAHAHA, bugger me sideways, thats an embarrassing stuff up. Yeah, i meant Hall (i should know since i have him in my fantasy footy team:p).

Sorry bout that, i'll go change it now so the post actually makes sense ;)

i'm looking forward to seeing how cox, tuckey and gasper handle the ruck. if richmond persist in rucking stafford then the boys should run him off his feet. he hasn't played since round 3(?) so he shouldn't have much match fitness.

i'm not overly worried about ottens in the forward line as milli seems to be in fine touch and from memory did well on in in the pre-season. we fell apart when jako got injured and richardson went on a goal spree.

the danger is going to come from their small forwards with our lack of small defenders.

Thats what Im worried about Noodle! Although we have their best small forward in Mark Merenda :D I dont care what others say..he can be VERY good when he plays well which hasnt been much oflate. Still better him on our team than theirs!
