Far, far from the best. Good player, but not the best.
There's a reason why the Wolves struggle in the playoffs. KG really has to become more of a leader to stamp himself on the game.

KG is a pretty awesome baller but he has to get in line for "the best" mantle...Kobe's TD was more impressive anyways...
MJ still has that mantle btw...

Another triple double to Kobe. Very Jordanesque.

What the ...?
Does this mean your opinion of Kobe is changing??

"Oscar" Bryant's numbers are certainly relishing no Shaq.

Yes but the Lakers win column is suffering. With the big man playing the Lake Show would be 4 - 0.

I dont particularly like Kobe but blind Freddy can see that he is an awesome basketball player. And out of all the next Jordan's that have been named over the years, he is certainly the closest...still an ice age behind though but he is the closest.
Another TD for Kobe again earlier today. The guy loves being number 1.

True, but against good opposition, he is showing he can lead an average team (lets face it, the Lakers are average without Shaq and Kobe)... maybe even to the playoffs. In the West no less.

kobe is wearing the great man's shoes ~

Not a chance in hell. Kobe has had to play out of his skin and record back to back TD's just to get the Lakers to win games. There is no way he would be able to keep that up all year

just missed another one tonight by a single assist !
tho, they got beat by the cavs...![]()

Beat. Beat. Slaughtered more like it. They are seriously lacking in the big man department when Shaq is not about. Medvedenko is a waste of space, the guy couldn't defend my Grandmother, and she just had open heart surgery last week. Samaki is doing OK, but he is a support player at best and sadly out of position at Centre and Madsen, is out injured as well, not that he would make any great difference.

I told ya Devo...Kobe cant do it every night and losing to the Cavs really .... really ... proves my point. Will not make the playoffs without the monster in the middle.

They only have to win a little over 50% of their games. Kobe could achieve that.
The most dissappointing thing about that game was the Laker offense. 70 points is the lowest the Lakers have scored since their move to LA in 1960. And the last time they scored under 75 was in 1974 (I think). Dreadful.
