The big problem I have with this, is that Ablett & Pickering have agreed to/created a situation that requires actively lying to Geelong. I've said this before, but by saying negotiations have been put off, suggests there is something to negotiate. And if we accept he's definitely leaving, then that's a lie.

I want Gary to stay and was hopeful that he would. But now the only logical argument is one that suggests he's leaving.

Which also confirms that player managers are nothing but blood-sucking parasites. Pickering will drag it out to guarantee he gets his extra percentage out of whatever they offer Ablett.
