Gary Rohan 2010 prospects

How do you guys 'in the know' think he is shaping up. Initially Paul Roos indicated he would probably spend a fair bit of time in the reserves whilst his body is developing but I read somewhere recently where Roos indicated the draftees might be ahead of schedule.

In the very limited footage we've seen in training Rohan seems to be having a huge crack when chasing down the ball getter. With his speed he could be a huge asset in this regard in creating referred pressure.

What are the thoughts thus far, will Roosy give him a run in the Pre Season Cup. How are the other draftees coming along, I also heard good things Re Sumner and Dennis-Lane.

The website has just given off noise that Rohans progress has been good and above where they expected him to be but Sumner has been the stand out in terms of ready to play. I think it's possible Rohan may get time in the NAB cup now, played only in bursts and told to intensely to see where his best is at for the 2010 season. If it matches up we may have a re think on our hand as to what he does for 2010.

Bonza's early assessment of Sam Reid was spot on in that it appears he is not yet ready to face the AFL level even in the pre season stuff but he is a big fella so no one should be surprised. .
