There is no doubt that Gaspar is a good backman,

However over the last couple of years it doesn't look like he has put on any muscle.

These days there is such a emphasis on body size and most AFL players are tending to get bigger and bigger, even young players such as luke ball etc... all are massive for there age.

However Gaspar looks like a skinny runt compared to some of the Forwards he is playing on.

Although having size isn't everything to being a good backmen, Gaspar just doesn't look big enough to deal with opposition gorrilla's such as Lloyd, Tredrea, Hall etc.. . Considering he is our best backman and grossly overpaid it's suprise's me he hasn't seemed to have ever bulked up.

This also applies to many of our players such as fiora, hall, pettifer, karkouer etc.. which might explain why we are so soft.
I think we need to have a more strict Gym regime at the club (which doesn't mean getting on a KFC diet like Richo!)

Gas relies more on his better judgement of the flight of the ball to get a fist to the footy than strength. This is why I would start him on Riewoldt this week rather than Gehrig.
