Anyone been following Gavin Robert's progress at all?

He has been carving it up in the ressies for Perth for a while now so surely a run in the league is not too far away.

Brad Dick I see has already been elevated to playing with the seniors for East Fremantle after 2 solid games in the ressies.

Anyone know what the story is here?

Perth don't rate him, and to be fair, other than this weeks game they haven't seen anything from him that would alter their opinion really.

Hopefully his game on the weekend will give our club a bit more ammo to push Perth to give him a league birth.

I'm not sure I agree with the OP that Roberts has been carving it up in ressies. Pretty much every Freo listed player who has played ressies besides Roberts has played one good game and gone straight back to league. Would be nice if the guy had some luck, but he will be gone at the end of the season IMO.

May well be gone, but a lifeline is not out of the question if he is able to get past his injury woes and show Lyon a reason to keep him, ie team player that can tackle and spread. Has zero runs on the board, no support from Perth, so he's really up against it now.

Nothing to do with the sort, it is because of his injury history. The guy has barely had a preseason at any time and needs the ressies games. He plays one then seems to get injured, so he still has to play Ressies.

He actually completed a decent chunk of the pre-season though so I thought he would at least be playing league by now. I really hope he manages at least one WAFL game before being delisted.

He looked decent in the pre season and Ross had him kicking out and playing in te last line of defence. I agree with those who think he will be delisted. We will need to free up some rookie spots for next season as we may need slot Moller in if he isn't on traded.

His stats for last week were 24 possessions with a goal, named in Perth's best players.

The previous game against West Perth he had 13 possessions and kicked 2 goals, named in Perth's best players.

The week prior he had 16 possessions and 19 posessions the week before that.

I like the way he was training pre season but he really needs to be playing league footy and getting similar or better numbers than he has been getting in the Magoo's,I think he is exactly the type of player we lack.......but he needs to put the runs on the board pretty quickly
