When this guy came over, he was supposed to be some sort of susperstar, but turned out to be an absolute dud. Waste of money in my opinion.
I think he was getting around half a million per season, while superstars like Pavlich and Bell were underneath that figure.
I'm glad to see him go.

Yes, it is good to offlaod so much money a year but we still have to pay off half of his contract for his contracted years.

That leads me to this question, how many more years was Croad signed for?

After all is said and done we pay Hawthorn and Croad 230,000 over 3 years.
Thats only about $73,000 per year, which is better than paying him 500,000 a year to play like he did this year.

i would have liked to see him stay for at least one more season, but i am happy with gettinh pick 10 for him. plus with the extra money we save there's a chance of getting an out of contract midfielder at the end of 2004.
