Thanks for training him up, he's a gem

Jokes aside, the small forwards who were at Richmond AFL/VFL during our dynasty is a very strong list:

D Rioli
Butler
Bolton
Stengle
Mannagh
Higgins
Castagna

& Baker has often played the role as well.

The Tigers had a real knack of scouting players for small forward roles there from 2014 onwards. We seem to have a couple more coming through now as well, Campbell and Hotton in particular.

And while you are at it AFL, write a headline about Jeremy breaking historic records, even though he hasn’t—and you don’t even need to explain what the supposed record is. ✅

*apparently he is so good he’s one of 3 players since 2009 to kick more than 80 goals AND no one has won the Coleman by more than 14 goals since brown in 2007.

More spin than the CCP

Don't tag them. They'll just be mad he was playing in their VFL side and they overlooked him :$

Must have been awarded in respect of the years he was at Richmond - when he was young.

Just stating the CFL is taking the piss with 'best young player'. Keep the current requirement and limit the age to 23.

Gets 13.9 disposals per game.

9.4 of which are uncontested marks and handball receives. That takes a really special talent to be handed the footy on a platter by your team-mates 9.4 times per match, whilst winning just 4.3 contested possessions yourself.

Which of course is why "Jezzer" Cameron is a finals pygmy.

I am serious too, he is a very Richmond 2017 type player

Geelong mature-agers have a stranglehold on the BEST YOUNG PLAYER award. Mannagh is just following in the footsteps of fellow youngsters Tom Stewart and Tim Kelly. 👴
Afraid of headbands. Got it.

The AFL All Australian team is once again deeply honoured to be captained by a Geelong player.

That makes 6 of the last 13 years a Geelong player has been named Captain.

The other 17 clubs, despite winning 11 of the 12 available Premierships in that period between them, combined to provide the AA captain just 7 times.

Geelong has the AA captain 46% of the time.

On average each other club has the AA captain 3% of the time each.

Therefore the incidence of a Geelong player being named AA skipper is 15 times higher than a player from each of the other 17 clubs on average.

Seems perfectly reasonable. 🤣
