im still very impressed, but i vote not genius

I dunno about that kid, but i am absolutely convinced this dude is an absolute freak of nature.

I present to you, Tony Royster Jnr.

He's 21 now and is an amazing player, but this was shot when he was 12, at a Modern Drummer Festival, which would have been in front of some of the world's most accomplished players and hundreds of drum nerds.

Again, he was 12 years old.

Your convinced it's who?

- great chops for such a young age.
What is his age as it's hard to tell when you can't see his face?

The question is: Does the world need more Yngwie Malmsteens?
Well i would say at the moment anyone who has a remarkable talent with a musical instrument is strongly needed.

This is the first time I have seen or heard of this.
What is the story behind it?

He was raised by bandicoots in the car park at Waverley.

Mozart blew them away when he was f'ing three! Beethoven really hit his straps after he went deaf. I'm sure a 36 year old Jackie Chan would look back at his 21yo stunts and say the world has moved on. & I bet you there's a couple hundred thousand little hothoused Chinese dudes who can bang out your Mozarts and your Beethovens at a serious professional level before they ever grow a pube. And ten million more Koreans who can counterstrike in such a stupendously proficient manner that you'd think God himself has given them the cheatcodes.

Was Peter Jackson particularly good at anything when he was nine? What about Daniel Kerr? His PE teacher could never ever have guessed. Gaudi? I'm sure they thought he was mental. You'd think it would be obvious with Hendrix, but how many years did he shlepp away in backing bands? With a freak like Newton it HAD to be obvious pretty early out, but with Einstein even he had to get a real job, and do his mathematical metaphysics as an evening hobby.

I've seen this clip awhile ago, and was happy & gealous that this kid could technically play quite well... but music is an artistic expression first & foremost..... how well could The Ramones play Pecherbell? Could Rembrant properly draw the plans for a new housing estate?

There's a je ne sai qua-voule vous couche avech-sa pla po moi ...to genius.
