G'day all,

Just wondering if its at all possible to get a PS3 online with one of those blue telstra wireless modems. It doesn't have a 'traditional' ethernet cord. One has a USB style end and the other well ..... I don't know.

Can I have tme modem switched on and the PS3 pick up the signal without plugging it in to the PS3..... If so how????

Or can I have the laptop hooked up to the internet and run an ethernet cord from the laptop to the PS3

Cheers

I have the exact modem mate and the only way to get online (I have an XBOX 360) was to share the internet connection through my PC. I simply joined an ethernet cable from PC to XBOX360. Worked beautifully.

Only downfall...moved a TV into the study!

The PS3 can go wireless, what you need to do is in "Settings" go to the "Network" tab and then click on "Network Connection Settings", then you need to make sure you select Wireless Connection, but if you look in your instruction manual for the PS3 it will tell you step by step on how to set it up if how I told you hasn't worked.

What you might need to do is turn your modem off for 30 seconds then back on, see what happens when you do that.
