Home & Garden Getting rid of paint from shoes.

Painting my room this morning wore my semi new air force 1 shoes and tipped a fair bit of paint on them and cannot get them off!! Kills me cause they are my favorite pair of shoes

Is there anyway I can get rid of the paint? I've tried scrubbing everything, not a thing changed.

If it counts for anything the paint I used was British paints

turps for oil-based paints, water (+ soap) for acrylic

much easier to get it off if you get your turps/water on it earlier even if you don't get around to cleaning it straight away (to stop it from drying).
otherwise, i've been able to get acrylic paint out by soaking clothes in water for a bit and then scrubbing. don't know how you feel about soaking your shoes in turps...

Everyone knows you wear your old bang around clothes and shoes when painting/gardening/doing anything that can wreck ya good sh*t.

Olive Oil and an old toothbrush works well on leather. Gentley does it. Used it successfully on shoes and car seats.
