Would be close to 190. Maybe not quite. He's a bit taller than the traditional midfielder, though. Still only 17. He may have a bit of growing left in him!!

This is not a troll or in anyway a sour grapes thing and in no way am I hoping anything is going to happen to Bryce Gibbs.

Bryce Gibbs may be the second coming of Peter Motley, not Craig Bradley. If Peter Motley was able to play more than 19 games Bryce Gibbs would be a player you could compare him to.

Bryce Gibbs is going to be a tall centreman who could play as a KKP forward (CHF/CHB) at a pinch; Craig Bradley was a dashing wingman with blistering speed but didn’t have the ability to play as a key forward or defender.

If Bryce Gibbs has a let down to his game it would be his speed, something Craig Bradley never lost.

So for all you older posters who have followed Carlton over the years, Bryce Gibbs would be more like Chris McDermott or Peter Motley not Craig Bradley.

Was 187 cm over a year ago, so that's probably right. Walker, Russell and Gibbs are all about the same height (6'3"), Add Murph, Simpson, and Blackwell to the midfield mix, and you realize why many predict this to be the comps dominant midfield in a few years time. Will be nice to see the Blues dominating the competition once again. :)

McDermott? Of course you're dreaming, and just a little bitter because he'll be a Blue next year. BTW Motley was rated by many to be even better than Bradley. The car accident was an absolute tragedy. Motely will always be a legend at Carlton. Forever. :)

Gibbs = future freakk.... AT CARLTON... just imagine the young list that we should have with wells and goddard

Murph, Waite, Blackwell, Russel, Walkss, Godard, Gibbs, Wells... the list goes on

If we had taken Wells and Goddard its highly unlikely we would have been on the position to take Murphy, Gibbs and Walker.

And in those 19 games Motley showed that he would have been a Champion, so bring on Gibbs.

:thumbsu: great call. He isn't an athlete like Braddles was. Doesn't mean he won't be as good, with any luck. If he can be as good as Motley looked like he was going to be we will be an extremely happy club

Sounds like a potential comparison to Mark Ricciuto couldn't be far off? Does Gibbs have the strength to go with his height?

If he's as good as Motley was, then I'll need a towel and a cigarette.

Motley was one of the great football tragedies - he was as good as any of the guys we snagged in the 80's but never got to show his tricks in any quantity. A real pity.

We might not take Gibbs so who cares how tall he is until draft camp.

But Kennedy is now approximately 198 cms and he will be monstering CHB in two years time. :thumbsu:

Now about Lachlan Hansen. :p

KENNEDY WILL NOT BE A CHB!!! We have a champion CHF on our hands, so why not nurture him in that position? FFS, draft kids and KEEP THEM IN THEIR POSITION!

Gibbs will be a Blue next year, unless we win this week, or somehow Essendon finish on the bottom...
