There is a thread earlier asking opinion on who returns the engagement ring if it's called off.
It's got me thinking on serial marrying. This day and age a lot of people marry more than once. I know of some who are up to spouse number 3.
What I'd like to know is if you have a close relative or friend who's first wedding you attended with all that goes with it, gift, new outfit, shower, hens/bucks night etc, (weddings can be expensive even for the guest) who has divorced then re-married again and again - do you buy them a second or even third gift taking into account that their new intended could possibly be in the same boat.
Also, if you are a parent who footed the bill of your child's first wedding, would you put your hand in your pocket for the next one?
