As a Demons supporter I was wondering how Girgic was going. He was a hack player in defence at our club, is he doing any better at his homeland?

After a couple of pathetic games for Geelong I believe he has already been dropped to the VFL, and I would like to congratulate Geelong on that, look how long it took us to get rid of him!

I seem to remember discussing who was better, Grgic or Bizzell, care to change your minds now Cats supporters, and admit that Biz is twice the player Gurge will ever be??

I'm agree that Bizzel is better than Grigic, however its early on, and I'm not totally dismissing him yet.

At least Grgic was playing senior footy when he was at Melbourne. Robertson's already being dropped to the VFL this year.

Robbo is in the VFL because Vardy has taken over from him as our clubs leading small forward, from what some Bulldogs supporters tell me their team is eager to trade for Robbo, so if he is indeed the hack you say he is, we may be rid of him by seasons end.

Bizzell is playing great footy.

Grgic is not.

Biz was not a hack, he just needed to step out of the spotlight that was constantly on him at Geelong. He doesn't get that at Melbourne because we have a plethora of talent, and he can go about his football.

Didn't that plethora of talent end up near the bottom of the ladder last year?
Bizz was and always will be a hack, 5 years at the cats and he avaraged under one goal per game as a forward, and manged a whole 8 brownlow votes in that period, great talent by those stats huh.......

Now I know the biz is never gonna be your next GaryAblett but he
is a good player. He was a defender as a junior and was played out of postion in the forward line at Geelong on a regular basis.

Anyone who knows anything about football can tell you that one
of the main reasons for the Dees poor 2001 was that they couldn't get the ball out of the middle. Wowe had a down year and Powell never played. You can't win if your not getting it out of the guts on a regular basis.

The point is this........Melbourne got the better of the trade. Bizzell is playing great football at Melbourne, Grgic is struggling down in the ressies for Geelong.

Oh, and that plethora of talent was and is always there. Like someone said before, Woewodin had a shocker, Powell didn't play a game while Leoncelli and Rigoni were injured in the last half of the season. We wouldn't get the ball out of the middle, plain and simple.
