I need glasses for driving. Hate buying them so I still have a pair I swiped off an ex 3 years ago. Pretty much perfect for me, and she didn't need them because she only used contacts.

Tried contacts about 5 years ago but didn't have the patience to learn how to put them in. I just couldn't keep my eyelid open when trying to put my finger in.

I call it contact intolerant, though I may give it another go soon.

I've had gogs for about 9 years, working with computers has done that i reckon.

I do wear contacts but only for indoor cricket where glasses are impossible to protect.

But overall I can't wear contacts for long periods of time as they scratch

I've got astigmatism so I think I'm a candidate for not getting surgery to resolve the problem.

You should really give it another go. I tried when I was about 13, couldn't do it. Gave it a try a year later but went to a different optometrist who was patient and showed you exactly how to take them in and out, was very helpful. Haven't looked back.

I wear both, though contacts are so great - best invention ever. Perfect for sport, gym, beach, swimming, partying .. any outdoor activity or whenever you're sick of the specs.

Im relatively young and I often deal with people older in business. Was once told to get plain glasses (see through) to make me look older, smarter and more professional rather than a young kid.... lol. Didnt do it.... but would be fun!

We're talking about guys in glasses. Who cares about chicks. ;)

You keep your Clark Kent mental imagery and I'll keep my sexy girl sitting at her computer ;)

Contacts for me, the best things ever invented. They're painless to get in and out (they're the disposable daily ones). I've never really worn glasses, I hated the thought of them... And guys tend not to like chicks in glasses :( so it was a good decision!

A friend of mine looks about a thousand cuter with her purple framed glasses on than without glasses at all. Another friend looks like a total doofus with her's on though, so guess it depends on the persons facial features.

From March this year, I started wearing glasses on a permanent basis. I like wearing them and I hate the idea of putting anything in my eyes so contacts are out of the question. I chose my glasses carefully (meaning: I drove the optometrist insane for hours trying on every pair I could find :D) and they really suit me, and my boyfriend thinks they look cute on me ;) so I don't really worry what the rest of the male population thinks.
