I'm short-sighted and only wear my glasses if i'm in front of the telly, or at TAFE...might have to start wearing em more often as it is really hard to see some good looking ladies from afar when friends can see them perfectly
I am really really shortsighted. People with perfect vision really don't understand what it's like. I first got glasses when I was eleven. I wore them every day for a few years until I got contacts in year 8. After wearing contacts for so long I think I would find it hard to go back to wearing glasses regularly. Bad vision is something that I constantly thank my parents for...not! Glasses do look really good on some people though, some of the frames are awesome.

I've had crappy eyesight for 15 of my 20 years - combo of short-sightedness and astigmatism in my left eye, and my right's not much better. I didn't get glasses til I was 7 though cos the community nurse who was testing every student in my school each year for eyesight and hearing probs swore i was "within the acceptable range" despite not being able to see the blackboard. Go figure...
I got contacts halfway through 2002 and they were the best thing I ever did once I figured out how to get the buggers in my eyes first go!

When you first try, it's such a bugger! Took me a few goes to be really confident putting them in and taking them out. It's easy now, although still slightly irritating when I put them in.

yeah its tough when you can't see the ladies...that's what happens if i decide to wear my sunnies.... 'cos i aint got no contacts, i sometimes miss out...but now i just wear me glasses so I can see all the fine women
