Just caught this on the news this evening and nearly choked on my dinner.
Driving along Tapleys Hill Road last night - the curvy bit near the airport, judging from the news footage - a Glenelg U/19 footballer lost control, crossed the median strip and got taken out by a truck. Don't know if he was killed instantly, but what was left of his car suggests so to me.
I didn't catch the kid's name - was too busy choking - but it sounds like it was the kid who got BOG last week. I've already thrown out my Sunday Mail so can't look up his name.
Glenelg U/19s are yet to decide whether or not they'll play tomorrow. I suspect that they will. Best of luck to you lads.
