what a game by glenn archer he got smashed by chappy and even little monty out marked him that was funny to see, great game cats

I would have thought you'd have enough to celebrate before worrying about Arch's poor game today. Enjoy the win and don't worry about any other bullshit. Great game today BTW for the Cats

Chapman roughed him up before the game when he was trying to be a big hero and push our blokes around. Showed true shinboner spirit when he attacked one Wojak - one of the smallest blokes on the ground. What a piss poor effort. :thumbsd:

He parades himself as this big upstanding citizen, but I think he's pretty ordinary. I had some convictions after he and James Hird swapped jumpers, and he didn't put Hird's on, and today confirmed that Archer is nothing but a dog.

Turn it up, mate...

Archer's a deadset legend, both on and off the field. If he was in Geelong colours you probably wouldn't be able to stop wanking off about how tough and courageous he is.

Like the rest of North, he was crap today and I freaking enjoyed the win, but don't be a complete twat.

Some poor shameful stuff in here. I hope you all remember this when Gazza jnr is 35 and running on his last legs.:thumbsd:

I think Gaz will know when to give it away. Archer should've given it away two years ago. Has been a great player, but has not changed his game to suit the rule changes, and is a liability rather than an asset more often than not nowadays, especially when playing in defence.

agree completely.

I put this to you though, if this was a younger <50 game player at the roos, would he be dropped after todays performance? Excuse my ignorance for not knowing how he played in the few games preceeding todays.

Today he was slow, selfish (reminded me of a superstar full forward from the blues) with the sooky look on his face and the tantrums he showed, he consistently seemed for concerned about himself and not his team. No doubt he is a champion, but is it a sign he now really is a liability and more likely to cost the team more than he can contribute?

If when he's 35 Gaz cracks the shits when he gets his arse kicked and lashes out late at one of the smallest blokes on the field, e would deserve the same criticism Archer is receiving.

Archer was slaughtered today, and acted like a sooky little kid when he couldn't get a touch in the last quarter.

What can I say? The coach is an idiot.

Is anyone here stupid enough to agree that he should be watching onballer/crumbers at 35? I wouldn't think so.

don't be an idiot.

well played, good game, but no need to denigrate a champion in the process.

Chapman is a worthy individual to give Arch a towelling, he will command similar respect in 10 years time.

Yeh, probably got a bit carried away. Archer is still a champion of the game. I still have utmost respect for the guy, but several of the things he has done during this year have taken him a few rungs down in my book. I guess because he has always been one of my favourite players, to see him behave like he has been disappoints me a bit. Hopefully next week isn't his last. :thumbsu:

After the antics of the roos fans this week, I hope it is his last game. :D

Much as I think Archer is a Good Bloke off the field, and you have to admire a guy who has played so many games of what, in the end, is a sport that leaves many blokes with broken bodies, he is a bloody tool once he crosses the line.

It usually goes like this: player will mark, Archer comes screaming in with the arm and smashes said player. Umpire awards the free, Archer has a whinge. Commentators go into spasms of joy. Basic summary of line [in deep Aussie Bloke voice and strident tones]: "And you know, Glenn Archer would view that as a victory - he's inflicted a bit of physical intimidation on his opponent, got into their heads, blah blah blah <creams pants>"

Physical intimdation? This isn't the U16s. It's AFL level. Junior has had Archer inflicting late hits on him since 2005, doesn't really seem to put his game off does it? All he does is give away stupid free kicks. Of course, when I called him a hack after his late hit on Gaz - minutes after Stokesy got the drop on him and outmarked him - some North fans hit the roof. Love to see if he ever gets any criticism in the club rooms.

The thing I loved about this little bit of Glenn Archer ''magic'' was that he was one of the most blatant free kicks I've seen all year yet Archer protested and looked so angry with the decision you would imagine he must have been pretty hard done by. Noticed he was like this for every single free kick he gave away which to be honest, were as obvious as this one.

Don't mind that he a tough, uncompromising defender but today he loked a bit like Brendan Fevola. I'll be honest, I dont watch many Kangas games so I dont know how he usually plays but if its like this than I'm in complete bewilderment over how he has become a "legend" of the club.

Over 300 games, 6 times player's association Most Courageous Player (a record), Shinboner of the Century, All Australian, 2 Premierships, Norm Smith medal.

That's how you become a legend.

He smacked Cam Thurley too.

I liked Cam Thurley.
