Glenn McGrath's test average of 6.61 with the bat is so good because of 36 not-outs.

Only Steve Waugh, with 65, has more not outs in the current Australian line-up.

Of more statistical interest than McGrath's not out (At no. 11 it's a 50% chance of happening), is the fact his wickets taken and runs scored in tests are pretty neck and neck. I think it would be huge achievement for Glenn to finish his career having taken more wickets in tests than he scored runs - a fitting tribute to the great man's bowling (and batting) contributions to the game. :)

The best thing is that he will be back in the test side when the aussies play India at the MCG.

Jesus goaldrush i can't believe your saying that. Especially after saying that you hate any cricketer that sledges other cricketers.

He wasn't sledging, he was physically threatening him...there's a difference:p

leading wickettaker of all time at my club took 938 wickets and scored 938 runs in his 30 odd years at the club.

Yeah, Valentine: 36 matches, 141 runs, 139 wickets.

McGrath is 450 runs & 430 wkts in 95 matches. I doubt he'll finish his career with more wickets to his name, particularly since his batting has improved.

There is a reason why not outs aren't included in the division of one's average.

6.6 is an accurate reflection of McGrath's batting.

No he was defending his wife and family. There is a major difference there.

After a brilliant 5 not out on the weekend I now have 98 career runs from 55 innings with 19 not outs, giving me an average of about 2.72. McGrath is like Bradman compared to me.

Two more runs for the century.

I also have 83 wickets but I will struggle to catch up to the runs now.

Am I the worst batsmen in Australia??:D

Think please.

McGrath suggesed to the batsmen that he was having a homosexual affair with Lara that involved penile entry from behind.

This was said before McGrath's wife was mentioned.

McGrath has white line fever and needs to pull his head in.
