I'm more of a Kings fan than a Razorbacks fan though it's good to finally see a Sydney team in the Grand Final after the Kings' history of inept finals performances, that's when they even make the finals!

Who do you think will win the Grand Final Series, Razorbacks for mine but I'm biased!

Filthy Jod?

haha

Jealousy is a curse.

I hope the Adelaide 36ers win the title. :)

BTW Jod, I heard a big rumour from a guy who has a friend that is on the Sixers' roster....Rogers to Adelaide is a goer, while Catallini to the Sixers won't happen for at least a year....Now I don't know if there's any truth to that but I hope so.. :)

What's the big tip over there in Perth?

filthy ? thats rich coming from anyone liking a team with moron vlahov on it !

Go the sixers. Just about to run out the door. Lucky enough to get some (hopefully) decent tickets from a mate of a mate who works for them.

Game MVP - Brett Maher.

Not a bad prediction.....

Adelaide 106 Razorbacks 97

Farley 34, Maher 25, Stiff 15, Garrison 15

Dwight 28, Rillie 24, Bolden 15, MacGregor 13

BTW....Loved Boti's article in the Adevrtiser the other day.......for Phil to win coach of the year he has to lose more games to get into Goorjan's league.........:D...........

oh well I think Phil will take the ring anyday.......:D

and congratulations to the Pigs for making the GF playoff.......certainly shows that other second string Sydney side that it's on the court where it counts.......not mouthing off in the local media........:D

Good performance by the Sixers, solid, uncomprising, our defence got us home in the end, (as well as the combo of Maher and Farley) as only really Dwight and Rillie had an impact offensively, and even JR was reasonably well held. Rucker was MIA.

Just a question to Jod, you made some comments earlier in the year about Willie Farley, after he scored 38 points against the Wldcats, I saved them to my hard drive for a later date.

"Im not downplaying Farley's performance he played alright but i just heard all these great things about him and he didnt impress me much.

Im sure he's very good but he just didnt impress me all that much.

I like that James Smith better, now he's impressive!!"

I was wondering about your opinion on Farley now, after a 34 point haul in the pressure cooker of playoff basketball, just another in a string of MVP performances (playing well at both the defensive and offensive ends- he had about 4 breakway dunks tonight) in the playoffs this year. Do you think he's impressive?? A slighty better player than James Smith maybe? Or is James still a more impressive player? :)

LOL....just rumors my boy. Im sure Vlahov is already getting things in motion for Rogers and Grace to sign the dotted line for next year and beyond. Rogers loves Perth, the lifestyle and his best mate Harvey. He isnt going anywhere.

You can hope though, but you will only be disappointed.

Well Ant...those comments were said early in the season. I had not seen Farley play yet and because the coverage over here in Perth isnt very good. So the first time i saw him was against Perth that time and he wasnt very impressive, he didnt play that well despite scoring 30+, he got them in junk time when the game was over.

I had seen James Smith in highlight packages...dunking over like an entire team and the crowd...he looked impressive. However as the season has dragged on i have seen plenty of both and im glad you brought it up because Farley is clearly the superior player. Probably the best import in the country...well Banks is pretty damn good and Feaster has been handy...he is top 3 though.

So there ya go im with ya on that. But i hope WSR win the next 2 :D

Yes was pretty close on that one...there is a first for everything!

MVP - had to be Farley he was magnificent. His defence was super, especially in the 3rd quarter and some of his shots were unbelievable tonight. It was funny he missed twice badly at the start of the third but i think that probably pissed him off and the he just exploded at both ends. Maher was good early, probably hit his first 5 shots in a row. Also Garrison was solid although could of easily finished with 20+ if he hadn't missed some easy ones down the strecth. Williams probably played one of the best games i have seen from him but that isn't saying that much, always am a little worried when he has the ball (or is on the court for that matter!).

Enjoyed the match up of Handy on Willie, funny stuff that, and was even funnier when Stiffy was about. :D

For them i thought that Rillie after a slowish start played really well, almost got a triple double. And the man in the middle (Dwight) was too big for our guys at times, however was limited with some pointless fouling. Bolden played an outstanding game IMO, was keeping them in it (along with JR) with his shooting & rebounding. But i think the "Pigs" will struggle with Handy on Farley, Farley made him look like a goose on many an occasion last night. And if Hinton is on for too long then god help them. Has this guy got a clue?
All in all West Sydney did well to keep with us for that long, ithought we played much better than them but kept looking at the scoreboard and the would only be 5 or 6 down. They have still got a fair bit of improvement in them IMO. Hopefully we can win in 2 but more likely will be back at the Powerhouse next Friday for a big game 3.

Go 6ers!

Jod, you shouldnt base opinions for an entire season on one game. Farley is the goods and is bringing us through the playoffs. Its fine and dandy to be in the highlight reels for the season, but not as impressive as winning the title. I'd rather have a player who brings us through in the clutch like he has in the past 6 games, than a player on the highlight reels.

Did you not read my above post...i agree with you???

No I did, I'm pointing out you are too quick to look at a player for one game. In this case, you didnt rate farley due to seeing him in one game, and he now has the Sixers on his shoulders.

Im not to quick to rate players. I rate what i see....he didnt impress me at the time, then as the season wore on he started to impress me. Simple as that.

Interesting little article I read this morning Jod, after resigning Grace, Vlahov was quoted as saying he wasn't confident of retaining Rogers :) You heard anything new over there?

Could Paul be coming home? :)
