Yeah i have been sunburnt the past few times i have played golf even with sunscreen.
My skin absolutely hates golf too. Before i start a round, and after every 3 holes or so i would slather the sunscreen only to get home and find myself burnt anywhere that was exposed.

Fun peeling layers of skin off though, that's the upside. :)

Aloe Vera Gel, if applied early enough should turn it into a tan...

(What would I know - i'm a pasty redhead :( )

Agreed.

Or copious amounts of any moisturiser really. I got burnt about a month ago, applied moisturiser constantly (maybe a bit too much!) and it turned into a tan.

Count yourself lucky.

Today I went shopping and it was -1 degree's. On the way home it started to snow. It's cold. I'm cold.

But it will be nice to have a white Christmas. :)

The dictionary definition of tanning:
The process whereby skin or hide is slowly turned into leather

think about it

Don't wanna start an argument, but I have no sympathy for people who get sunburned then complain about it. If they get burned once, fair enough, but if you get burned so many times in a month, how could you not learn to put suncream on?

Agreed.....their own fault if they end up with skin cancer too. Is it really that hard to put sunscreen on?

didnt have sunscreen the 2nd and 4th times (last time didnt know i was going to be outside). 3rd time I put it on too late and 1st time well I'm an idiot I should have worn sunscreen shouldn't I.

I remember I was waiting for 2 hours in the emergency room of the modbury hospital a few years back when I broke my wrist. A lady was rushed in with sun burn all over her body, cos she fell asleep in the sun without any protection. She was put infront of me obviously. I have no doubt she needed attention before me, but people should think about these things before hand, as it is very easy to prevent such things yourself.

Sunscreen is over-relied upon. 75% of people fail to put enough on. The ultimate protection is to stay out of the sun between 10 and 2. Failing that long sleeved collared shirt and broad brimmed hat. One case of sunburn is enough to prompt melanomas or carcenomas. The question is.... which time will it be?

So far I've made it through this summer burn-less.. *touch wood*
But this morning I did the early morning dash for the clothes-line in the undies and singlet... ended up chasing chickens back into their pen, yadda yadda yadda, my legs are tanned :p

must say after sun burn go the vitamin e cream and it works a treat... Usually i only get burnt once a summer and then the rest is tan... Although remember to slip slop slap...

Wearing a hat can have a distorting effect. After going to all 4 days of the interstate cricket last weekend, my face ended up being red on the bottom under the nose and a lot lighter higher on the face.

Just returned back to Victoria from 3 weeks on the coast at surfers.. Got burnt bad on Saturday the 11th? I think it was.. Shoulder blistered up and I could sleep the Sunday & Monday nights. Still peeling 2 weeks later... :o
