Interesting to see that they are picked to finish the bottom of their group. Fair enough considering that they traded away Jamison and Arenas, but sometimes that makes teammates play together more as a team. They don't have the stars of the other teams in the west, but could they surprise and win a few more games than the scribes think?

Well, if you look at the Pacific - the Lakers and Kings are given, Phoenix should figure highly in the West this season, Seattle and the Clippers have improved markedly and Portland will have the firepower to keep them above the Warriors. Golden State will be bad, but only relatively speaking.

They'll be interesting, too bad they lost so many players last season as they had the making of something quite special.

If Dunleavy can play consistently like he has for some games in the preseason they won't be too bad. Not expecting much from them though in a tough division.

Now without Van Exel for 5 or 6 games at the start of the season too....they should go alright but they are in the best division in the league so there will be no nights off. Wouldnt expect playoffs.

Couldn't agree more we looked like we where FINALLY on the right track typical with this side they are so frustrating, looks like too much is going to be left to too few this year.

Hope im wrong but cant see them making the playoffs............ again

Early days yet, but Golden State have proven to be competitive with a decent 8-7 start and having won their last 4. No doubt they've got an uphill battle, but they're not the easy beats that most people thought.
