sorry stuffed up the maths on that one.

we would need to fill 9 spots on the main list

picks

3,19,35,ex 3rd,51,ex 4th,ex 4th,ex 4th + pre season pick.

still better to get rid of dumb asses and try someone new - you can pick up gems around 50 to 60 in the draft.
I think you have stuffed up on more than the maths.

As I read it and many agree, there is just not the cattle out there to replace all of these players in one hit.

Have a look at the WAFL. The best players are all ex-AFL players who can't get a game/retired.

You've got:

Browne
Obrien
Gilmore
Head
Murphy
Campbell

and then maybe Drum

Thats 6 spots at least in a shallow draft. Assuming elevation of Broughton, De Boer and van Berlo You've got picks something like 3, 19 and 37. Maybe a mature 4th rounder type.

Players like Dodd, Peake, Bradley, Hinkley etc will definitely be kept and if the newer players are good enough they'll get dropped.

In relation to Kepler Bradley, I think many of you have worked yourselves into a real tizzy over this guy. Like complaints about a 200 cm guy on a greasy wet Melbourne day -- really!

He has a real upside in that he completes really well, can take the odd contested mark (think those 2 goal line marks against Port) and has a huge tank. When our midfield is on he can score goals and makes a great third tall. and if Zac Clarke wants a game then he can displace Kepler when he is ready.

i agree with everything you have posted except for van berlo, to me he has looked the least promising of our promoted rookies so far, i would elevate clancee before i wouold elevate VB
