Good win to the boys, and just goes to show how much Sheedy rates the Wizard Cup. :rolleyes:

Still a lot of room for improvement. In the last quarter we didn't play as well as we were before, but thats just getting down to the nitty gritty stuff. Great win boys!

Ablett jnr is alot like his old man, armchair ride from the umps.

Lloyd didn't get one soft one tonight, nor has he for the last year or so.

As for Ablett Jr, if three guys can tackle him in a row in front of goal and get away with it as well as handballing it right across the boundary line, then he will be twice as good as his old man.

Peter Hore the serial pest was sitting next to us! My mate goes, Peter how are you and look and said "huh?" and my mate goes "you should be out there not f***in' here man". And he said "I've got like $60g's worth of fines I can't"

I dunno whether he was takin' the piss but I was gonna tell the twat he cost us a world cup spot and I thought he was a c***, by then he'd left. Bastard.

And he goes, yeah spencer.

I told him from what I've heard he was ****, and he laughed. Just saying that at the casino he put 23 black on rouletter for Trevor Spencer and won.
 
Good win by the boys. Plenty of room for improvement, but that game would have ironed out a lot of the nerves.

I have the same feelings running thru me as 2000 this year.

I mean we have to be happy with that win, yet I wasnt satisfied. I am really frustrated after last year, and I know the club as a whole is as well - and I just had the feeling last night that we were a team on a mission.

If only we bloody converted we woulda been up by 10 goals at quarter time.

Good win, room for improvement tho - good way to shake-off the cob webs and get the ball rolling.

Assuming we have an ok run of injuries this year, i couldnt see myself being happy with anything less than top 2.

I honestly feel Port (severly) and Brisbane are overrated.

Brisbane were at their absolute best come finals last year - we were probably the furthest from it that we had been all year.

They didnt belt us.

Deliberate or something. Can't remember now. Was fired up last night after sitting near this fat bitch who wouldn't shut up. But from memory it was a throw across the line.
 
It was a great game alright, I was impressed with Hille's game & also thought Henneman did quite well, good to see Mercs & Misiti showing that they may be back on track this year & please give Moorcroft a chance, it's only the first round. :(
 
Loved the real teamplaying! And all the guys who were MIA last year are well again. Relieved to see Fletch doing alright...Bolton, Smokin' Joe playing WITH Peverill, everyone looked pretty healthy. JJ , Rama and Blake looked great.
Lucas shut up his critics in the first quarter...I hope he's not injured. They have half the team tagging Lloyd and he still pulls down those marks! And hird is the word.
