Well done to the guys out there today this loss is the loss we needed and will be character building for the guys out there. We had it coming and in the long run it will be beneficial for the team. I thought that JON, Deledio and Tambling proved themselves worthy of top 10 pick selections, showing some of the talent they excude when we go for the premiership in 2011. The leadership provided by Kane Johnson, Joel Bowden and Mathew Richardson was heart and groin warming.

Once and for all we have proven that our method of rebuilding is much more effective and successful than Hawthorn's who are crashing to earth harder than Britney Spears career.

To the players who represented the Richmond Football club, wearing yellow and black and fighting for a proud and glorious history which includes 10 premierships, multiple champions of the game and a vibrant and colourful supporter base, I thank you for such a inspiring performance.

Well done. :thumbsu:

Wallet is just taking some easy money. He is laughing all the way to the bank. Who will get the blame this week?

It was a great team effort. :thumbsu:

You cant build character more than they way the boys performed out there. If they can take that then they can take just about anything.

J-O-N can only get better from here, now that he has tasted the big league, he now knows the required height needed to kick the ball over the man on the mark.

Lids now is even more hungry by starving himself of the ball, I would hate to be the ball in the future now that Lids appetite is so massive.

Hyde and go seek, now has added the art of going missing to his game play, opposition teams will be peeing their pants at "Mr Invisible".

Joel Bowden is back to his carrer best form and has regained that skill of falling over and kicking the ball to the opposition, will be a great suprise tactic and will completely throw opposition gameplans into disarry.

Pettifer what a future star, the ability to run as fast as you can but have the back ground look like its not even moving is awe inspiring, his running on the spot will have his opponents confused and unsure what he will do next. Definately a great way to improve ones own fitness.

Players that unfortunately not going to make it:

Richo...... doesnt he realise that he should only play 1 position? I mean who does he think he is Superman? Definately not a thinker is our Richo.

Foley, clearly not a team player and not one that follows team rules, how the hell is he supposed to learn about centre clearances if he is always trying to get it first? They only way one can learn is to watch the best do it and then copy them.

I could go on, perhaps someone else here can continue the analysis, I'm utterly brain dead.

No offence, but that was the most insipid performance I think I have ever seen. You guys were pathetic. Having said that, it didn't really seem like Richmond had bad players, it's just that everyone of your players was beaten.

Lenny & PRR's posts were GOLD. :D

We really could have done with Gaspar in defence, so the few times we did rebound, we could have had Gas kicking it to them, maybe then the Cats would have reached 239pts.

At least it took 5 honourable losses before we got our first dishonourable loss this year. This compares favourably with last year underachievers, who disgraced themselves in both Round 1 and Round 3. So yeah, things are definitely headed in the right direction.
