What a player, what an innings!! Michael Bevan took control tonight when Australia were 6 for 82, and I am just so pumped... what a win!! It's a great day for Victoria, a great day for Australia, a great day for the world and a great day for the great man, Michael Bevan, the hero of the MCG... ;);)

I am sticking my neck out and saying we will not lose again this summer!! That's right, we will make the finals and win 2-0. There is no stopping momentum and the confidence the team will have after tonight will free the pressure off the top order.

I'd better go before I say I'll do something that is rather stupid & embarassing!! Needless to say the Sein is very excited!! :):)

Go Aussies!!

He played a super match. Not many others would have scored a big hundred under the circumstances that Bevan faced.

Too right about us not losing another match all Summer. This game is the turning point for this series, and the Kiwi players will fear us in the finals. A 2-0 result will be sensational.

Yep, it was a good innings from Bevan, but don't let it kid you, we still have big troubles at the top of the order. Bevan and the tail (which BTW is his best spot, not 4. He controls the innings better at the end) shouldn't be left doing so much of the work to get us home.
Quite a few have been pointing the finger at Mark Waugh, but the bloke who kick starts our whole innings is having an ordinary trot and no-one has hardly mentioned him. I think the Kiwi's have worked Adam Gilchrist out by cramping him and it is putting the whole top order under pressure. If Gilchrist can start firing, then Australia might still win the series.

haha, Sports Tonight is on soon here and the promo just said "The aussie struggle continues in the one day cricket" and they showed the Kiwis celebrating a wicket. They really should wait for the result before they play these things! :D

Don't get too excited. Noone else on the team made 30 runs!

We'll have a better idea after the South Africa game.

My thoughts exactly Yianni. Got home through a brilliant individual effort. Fantastic knock by Bevan, better than his effort v the windies a few years back, and that awesome 180 odd he mad in the asia v rest of the world game in Bangladesh a year or two ago.

Fantastic result (If your an Aussie!) and great to see vintage Bevan. I was just as suprised at Bichel too. He could of easily choked, but instead smashed those two 4's and got us over the line.

The top order batting is still a worry for me, and also I'm sure the result would of gone against us if Chris Cairns bowled.
