G'day,

I'm in the market for a GPS phone and am wondering which one offers the best GPS. I'm not too fussy about other features. Just really want a phone + GPS.

Also not to thrilled about the idea of paying for the turn by turn direction licences. So if anyone knows where I can download a third party GPS program with a wooden leg (pirated), that would be great.

Thanks.

I have a HTC TYTN II with GPS. The program I had (copilot) was the balls. A mate of mine gave the latest edition of Tom Tom and now it work just like a normal GPS. I also got an 8G SD memory card, so it also doubles as an mp3 player, and you can change over as many cards whenever you want, so size is basically limitless. Serioulsy it makes the iphone look like well.... and iphone.

I have the Nokia 6110 Navigator and have been really impresssed with it.
Kinda dissappointed that the iPhone that I've just ordered doesnt have the same sort of GPS system that my Nokia has at the moment.
I've found the Navigation software to be perfect. Easy to use, works really well and never had any problems with it. It actually works like a regular GPS system. The only one thing I've found with it (and this is really petty) is the loading times of finding your location. Nothing at all really, only happens every once in a while just it can be annoying at times when your in a rush. But I've also had this same thing with actual GPS systems, so I wouldnt even worry about it.
The software that comes with it works for the whole of Australia and comes free with the phone. All you need to do when you get the phone is to put in the CD that comes with the phone and Sync up the software from your computer.
Hope this helps. :thumbsu:
