for your first rounder and Polak and Id think about it.

I would have thought that with Richmond's development of Richmond's young midfielders and running players over the past two seasons, the constant injury concerns with Coughlan and Richmond's lack of tall options, especially down back that a straight swap of Coughlan for Polak would work in Richmond's favour.

I wonder what Wallace and Miller would think of that..

They might sit down and re-watch Richmond vs Freo (round 10) and go "nup"

Then they might just look at the ladder :thumbsu:

Has anyone checked out his WAFL stats. McDougall got more marks in one game then he has in his past 3.

That doesn't matter. He was a high draft pick, he's played heaps of games already and freo have heaps of tall options so Victs can just put 2 and 2 together and think he's good enough.

Hasn't Coughlan just had a knee reconstruction, that would take off about 40% of his value, statitistics tell you that players don't come back as better players after they have had knee probs.

Not really.

Cogs doesn't really rely on pace now does he? He was always a slow center man, having a knee reco isn't going to stop him finding the pill.

Polak/McDud both hopeless, for different reasons, both GONE!

Perhaps, but I don't want McGougall.. :thumbsd:

Polak would be handy @ CHB though. He doesn't even need to take contested marks! Just try to punch every now and then. Allow Joel Bowden to move to a flank :) :thumbsu:

I don't think either of them are gone. Polak certainly deserves another chance, at the Dockers or elsewhere. And I think McDougal is probably still worth having on a list. Somewhere. Somewhere else though, not at the Dockers.

If list management and recruiting is done on the basis one game and not on the big picture, then as a Richmond supporter you should be demanding more.

I reckon Cogs worth in the mind of Richmond supporters & Miller/Wallace is seen in his carrer as a whole, not 1 game.

That one game was against Freo, so it was nice fitted into this thread rather well.

Supporters always have a stronger connection to their players, much like when Essendon let go Caracella. A premiership player, well respected.

But the bigger picture let us get McPhee and pick 17 in the draft.

I rate Coughlan highly, but I think your midfield has performed rather well without him. That's not to say it wouldn't be better with him, but you have a definate weakness that Polak could address.
